The stock base weighs in at 9.3 grams, and the new base is 2.5 grams for a weight reduction of 6.8 grams. In our tests, this took our mouse to 52 grams!
Installation is pretty easy with a #00 Phillips screwdriver. There are 9 screws to remove.
If you want to remove the change, it is completely reversible. The old base can be easily reinstalled, and the mouse is back to the original.
